Commercial Flagpole Installation in Atlanta
One quote from the manufacturer: pole, foundation, installation, and lighting. FlagCo builds the pole 30 minutes northwest of downtown Atlanta, at our own factory in Acworth, and installs it. No dealer in between.
Serving Atlanta, Marietta, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Acworth, Woodstock, Canton, Alpharetta and Roswell.
Everything under a single FlagCo quote.
Most flagpole projects mean coordinating a manufacturer, a foundation contractor and an installer yourself. A FlagCo turnkey quote for an Atlanta project covers the pole, the foundation, the installation and optional lighting, in one number, from one company.
The pole
Manufactured at FlagCo's Acworth, Georgia facility from 6063-T6 aluminum per ASTM B 221, cone-tapered and rated 85 to 170 mph per NAAMM FP 1001-07. Heights from 15 to 80 ft: external halyard, internal winch, internal cam cleat, or reinforced configurations.
Foundation and installation
Concrete foundation and steel ground sleeve sized to your pole height, spun aluminum flash collar set at grade. FlagCo manages the installation as part of your quote, with a site walk first when the project calls for it.
Optional Beacon lighting
FlagCo's Beacon mounts at the top of the pole and illuminates the flag after dark. It ships with the pole order and is mounted and wired on site during erection, never factory-installed.

Metro Atlanta rates 90 mph under ASCE 7-10.
FlagCo's wind speed data (ASCE 7-10, 3-second gust at 33 ft above ground) rates every metro Atlanta zip code at 90 mph, including Atlanta, Marietta, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Acworth, Woodstock, Canton, Alpharetta and Roswell. Statewide, 881 of Georgia's 952 zip codes rate 90 mph per NAAMM FP 1001-07. The remaining 71, all along the coast around Savannah, need a 100 mph rated pole. Look up your exact address for a precise number before you specify.

What facility managers and business owners ask before installing a commercial flagpole in the Atlanta area.
Do permit requirements vary across metro Atlanta?
Yes. Cobb, Fulton, Cherokee, Gwinnett, DeKalb and every other metro Atlanta county and city set their own permitting rules for a structure like a commercial flagpole, so requirements differ from one jurisdiction to the next. We confirm what your local building department wants, based on your pole height and site, before construction starts, and we can support the permit application if your project needs one.
What wind rating do I need for a flagpole in metro Atlanta?
FlagCo's ASCE 7-10 data rates every metro Atlanta zip code we've checked at 90 mph, including Atlanta, Marietta, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Acworth, Woodstock, Canton, Alpharetta and Roswell. That covers 881 of Georgia's 952 zip codes statewide. Only the coast around Savannah, 71 zip codes, needs a 100 mph rated pole per NAAMM FP 1001-07. Look up your exact address on FlagCo's Wind Speed Tool to confirm.
What does a turnkey installation from FlagCo include?
One quote covers the pole (manufactured at our Acworth facility), the concrete foundation and steel ground sleeve, the installation, and an optional Beacon light. You are working with FlagCo directly, not a manufacturer and a separate local dealer.
How long does a commercial flagpole installation take in Atlanta?
Installation timeline depends on pole height, foundation work, pole lead time and permitting in your county or city, so it varies by site. You'll get a project timeline with your quote.
What foundation does a flagpole need on Georgia soil?
A concrete foundation with a steel ground sleeve, sized to your pole height rather than a one-size-fits-all footing. Set depth runs from 2 ft on a 15 to 20 ft pole up to 8 ft on an 80 ft pole. Soil conditions vary by site; tell us about known clay, fill or drainage issues at your address when you request a quote so we can plan the foundation accordingly.
Can I add lighting to my flagpole installation?
Yes. Add a FlagCo Beacon to your quote and it ships with the pole order. Our crew mounts and wires it at the top of the pole during installation so the flag is lit after dark.
What areas around Atlanta does FlagCo install in?
FlagCo installs commercial flagpoles across metro Atlanta, including Marietta, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Acworth, Woodstock, Canton, Alpharetta and Roswell, and takes on projects further out across Georgia. This page covers commercial installations; if you're looking for a smaller pole at home, see FlagCo's residential flagpole installation guide for Atlanta.
