Where indicated, our ornaments can be used with a ferrule or spindle.

A ferrule is generally used for indoor/parade use on wood poles and a spindle is generally used for outdoor use on in-ground or wall mounted flagpoles. 

When using an ornament for an indoor/parade aluminum pole with a top adapter already installed, a ferrule or spindle is not required.  The only exception to the above is the Elks Head and Bear ornaments, which are supplied with a threaded rod attached to the bottom of the ornament. 

A special ferrule is supplied for use with our wood indoor/parade poles.  Please specify if you require this special ferrule.
